It was another beautiful weekend here in Crozet. The kids and I spent Saturday morning at the park at Mint Springs with our friends while Gregor went for a bike ride. Then, after naps the whole family headed to Sugar Hollow Reservoir. Sugar Hollow is definitely one of our very favorite places here in Charlottesville. The kids always end up in the water soaking wet. They can climb on the logs and throw rocks. The sun is warm and the water is freezing... all the ingredients for good solid fun! Sugar Hollow just gives us that sense of peace and contentment as a family. Every time we are there we wonder why we didn't name Miller Logan, which means "from the hollow" after this special place. Hudson is named after the Hudson River in NY, Larkin is after Larkin Valley out near Santa Cruz, CA. Miller... well Miller is just a name we thought was cool. We talked about changing her name for awhile, but at this point Miller has become her name and that's meaning enough.Sunday was relaxing. I got to play a little tennis in the morning before it started to rain. We hit Lowes before lunch and had a nice walk after naps. It was a solid family day. Hudson is getting pretty good on his bike, although at the end of our walk/ride his inner lazy comes out and he wants to be pushed home. I think he's almost ready for his training wheels to come off... ahh... when did he get so grown up??
